The kitchen: part 3

Sinks. Sexy, sultry sinks. Okay. I don't know of ANY sinks that would qualify as sexy or sultry, but I am trying to make this post exciting! Ooh! Sinks!

Is it working?

Hmm. Didn't think so. Anyway, here they are. Stainless vs. white? Boring or quasi interesting? These are the four or so I have narrowed it down to...

Consider them numbered 1-4 and give me your takes. Remember, this is a 1927 home with original white and somewhat plain cabinets. The knobs are simple and a twee bit modern... I got them at Ikea.

And look on the bright side. Once we decide this... we get to pick a faucet! Woot!

I'm digging number one!

I like #1 too; classic. I much prefer ceramic over stainless because it's easier to keep looking clean and it doesn't feel as cheap. My own hangups aside, white would tie in with the cabinets.

Put me down for #1!

Go with whatever will already match your kitchen colors and style. One thing to keep in mind is you are redecorating to sell ... not to keep ... so go with stuff you like but not necessarily love. It would be a shame to fall in love with all your new appliances and redecorated room only to have to sell it, you know.

If you want ceramic, got with #1. Personally, I would pick #3, stainless.

I have a ceramic sink in my house up in PA, and that things get stained and marked up by everything! Then again, maybe it's because that sink is from the 1950's. But in any case, it drove me nuts, and not even the Mr Clean Magic Eraser could get all the marks off.

stainless. seriously. stainless. the white sink - I drink a lot of coffee and we used a lot of bleach after a few years.
